Description: THE HOUSE
Lying between Mount Conero and San Vicino, in the heart of the ‘ Balcony of Le Marche’ a region dominated by the town of Cingoli, from where you can enjoy the magnificent views of the Le Marche region as far as the Maiella mountain range and the Dalmatian coast. At 256 metres above sea level is the country house of ‘ I Mori’ , a centuries old ‘ Casa Colonica’.
The restoration - using many reclaimed items from the original building, the work was finished early in 2005. All the work was carried out using traditional methods and environmentally friendly materials. The Country House whose position offers magnificent 360 degree views is complimented by ancient oak and mulberry trees - these giving the house its name.
I Mori can accommodate up to 24 people. The bedrooms on the first floor all have en suite bathrooms, while on the ground floor is a double room suitable for those with disabilities.
The house is situated in 5 hectares of grounds with both vines and olive trees.
The cellar under the house is ideal for storing the salami, cheese and wine produced by the family.
A separate entrance for guests allows for unrestricted access.
AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY BUILDING
The house is built entirely in sandstone and without the use of cement, has wooden beams treated with totally natural products creating an authentic natural atmosphere without detracting from its beauty and comfort. All the work was completed using environmentally friendly technology eliminating magnetic and electrical fields.
FACILITIES
You can enjoy delicious and traditional dinners in the company of the owners savouring local dishes produced at the farm.
You are able to hire mountain bikes and explore the tranquil country lanes
There is a large courtyard and play area for children.
All the rooms have: telephone, TV and internet connection
There is a BBQ outside and an imposing fireplace indoors.
Snacks can be ordered at any time of the day
You can buy traditional products and crafts- all made locally
On request we can provide transportation to and from Falconara (Ancona ) Airport, Ancona Port, and the train stations at Jesi, Ancona and Macerata.
There is a fully equipped area for the parking of camper vans with drinking water and electrical current.
There is also a mini apartment for 4 -5 people with a kitchen area, fridge and sink for longer stays.
WHAT TO DO
4 km from I Mori is an aquapark, with swimming pools, water sports, tennis courts, table football and Jacuzzi.
1.5 km away is a riding school which is open all year round.
A bar serving drinks and snacks is less than 1 km away
Fishing and canoeing are available on Lake Cingoli and the River Musone
The Sidecar Museum is situated near to the lake and the Regional Archeological Museum in the centre of Cingoli.

HOW TO FIND US
From North;
A14 Bologna- Taranto. Take exit Ancona Nord, and take the superstrada towards Rome. Take the Cingoli exit from the superstrada. At the roundabout take the third exit and follow signs to Cingoli. When you get to Mummuiola, turn left to Villa Strada. After 4 km driving towards Filottrano you will arrive at Pettovallone where I Mori is situated.
From South:
A14 Bologna-Taranto, take the exit signposted Macerata- Civitanova Marche. Get on the superstrada towards Macerata. Take Macerata exit, go through the city, and follow signs to Cingoli for c 30km. Take the right turn to Torre and Strada. After Strada drive for 4 km towards Filottrano until you reach Pettovallone
From Rome
Take the exit from the motorway signposted Orte and continue towards Terni.When you arrive at Foligno continue towards Ancona, coming off at Apiromergo or Jesi West and follow signs to Cingoli
For those arriving by train or aeroplane:- the nearest train stations are Jesi (19km) or Macerata (30km). The airport of Falconara (Ancona) is 32km.
